Conflict Management Workshop
Conflict, according to
most experts, is among the most detrimental of all occurrences
in the workplace. Jewish communal organizations
are not exempt. Many people in organizations respond to conflict
by trying to avoid it, or by being frustrated because they
do not know what to do with either the emotions or content driving
the conflict. Ineffective conflict management is time-consuming,
costing organizations money, decreasing productivity, and reducing
commitment and morale.
This interactive workshop is about managing
differences productively and efficiently while maintaining positive
relationships. When properly
managed, conflict can actually improve performance and morale in
the organization. This workshop is designed to help participants
recognize, understand, and manage conflict within the organization.
It reinforces the concept that we have choices in how we choose
to deal with conflict. Your response within a conflict greatly impacts
on how a conflict is ultimately managed.
The workshop helps all participants
understand their own conflict management style and recognize
the styles of others. A well-received
conflict management assessment tool is utilized to determine your
own conflict management tendencies.
