How
Does Your Organization Schedual A Board/Staff Retreat?
1. Contact Mark
W. Zalkin, 303-756-5504 or mark@zalkin-training.com to explore
your specific needs along with his potential availability.
2. Obtain approval
from your key leadership and/or board/staff.
3. Book the final
date frame with Mark.
4. Mark will
initiate the balance of his 4 Phase Planning Process:
Phase
I: Initial inquiry and conversation
with agency Exec and/or President/Other Leader: This is the
inquiry phase where the situation is outlined and potential
retreat issues/content are explored.
Phase
II: This
is the phase where professional and lay leadership explore
the potential treat issues/content that came out of Phase I.
This can take place in your own meetings and/or in conference calls/emails
with me. (It is extremely important that all emails are copied to everyone
involved in the development of issues). The purpose of Phase II is to insure
that the retreat is ultimately developed and owned by lay and professional
leadership.
Phase
III: The prioritized issues/agenda items
that you and your group want covered for the retreat are
emailed to me. I take this information and develop the initial
agenda for both sessions. I also determine specific interactive
delivery techniques that would be used to get the material
across during the retreat sessions.
Phase
IV: The
final retreat participant materials are developed and sent
back to you (and your identified lay/professional leadership
group) for final review, comments, thoughts and suggestions.
I then tweak the materials and they are ready for duplication.
